After waiting long time today drupal 7 is officially released http://drupal.org/drupal-7.0 many drupaler are also celebrating release party for drupal 7.
I am working on drupal since last 3.5 years, but till date i have not taken look on drupal 7 today i am installing drupal 7 first time. here are the highlight of drupal 7
- UI is looking cool
- Good guidelines while installation
- Bartik as new default theme
- Admin menu, Shortcut bar
- Overlay effect in Admin panel
- Terminology changed - User is now "People", Site Building is now "Structure" and few more
- Menu structure changed
- Nice content add/edit forms (Vertical tabs)
- CCK is in core
- Dashboard for easy content management
Still i have not taken look at module and theme code, overall interface side it is very nice.

Drupal 7.0 is happening!
The 7.0 version of Drupal is a happening one. Most of the web developing companies are now relying in Drupal CMS for building websites. THis is because Drupal comes in a complete package. With all the applications and extra features like modules that this CMS has, makes it completely different from other CMSs.
